A 4×4 panmagic square using polyominoes, but so drawn as to suggest otherwise. White lines trace a path that connects the centres of each polyomino's unit squares. See how some pieces are necessarily forked, others not. The 4 pieces in each quadrant also tile the target. As a younger man, I have tried my hand at poetry. As an older man I turned to math, albeit at a humble level. Somewhat to my own surprise, I seem to have retraced my steps. At least, if this is not mathematical poetry, then I have never understood what poetry is.
